86

The Republic of San Magnolia claims that they have no casualties, but that is propaganda.¹ The truth is that their "unmanned" drones are lies.² They are manned by Eighty-Sixers, people considered to be inferior and "less than human".² The anime is about Vladilena Milizé, the newly assigned Spearhead squadron "Handler," who seeks to fight against Eighty-Six discrimination, and Shinei Nouzen, captain of said squadron, who "insists on shouldering the names and wishes of his fallen comrades."¹ Nudity and Other Immodesty 86  has immodesty in it. According to Crunchyroll, this includes nudity, which is why they list the anime as 16+.² We also learn that women's cleavages are seen, and women are seen showering.³ Vladilena wears a short skirt.⁴ Does this seem like something God desires His children to watch? "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or p...

Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend

As an otaku, Tomoya Aki has spent years collecting various anime and light novels.¹ He is enamored by the stories and characters.¹ After an encounter with a woman, Tomoya is left with the desire to create his own game,² in hopes of sparking the same feeling that others have given him¹. He wants to model the heroine after the mysterious girl he'd met.² However, he cannot do this alone, so he recruits a childhood friend, Eriri Sawamura, to illustrate and Utaha Kasumigaoka to write the script.¹ To his surprise, the very girl he is modeling his character after happens to be his classmate, Megumi Kato.² Tomoya creates a fandom group to touch those who will play the game.¹ What he does not realize, however, "is that to invoke these emotions [in others], the [game's] creators" have to "experience the same feelings in their own lives."¹ Sexual Imagery Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend  contains inappropriate clothing. There is sexual imagery in the show.² Th...

Lycoris Recoil

Takina Inoue is part of an organization called Direct Attack (DA) that trains orphan girls to be assassins. This is their "Lycoris" program. Despite being an "exceptional Lycoris", Takina transfers out of Direct Attack due to disobeying orders. Now, she is an undercover café, LycoReco. Takina wishes to return to Direct Attack, feeling out of place. However, her new partner, Chisato Nishikigi, intends to show Takina that there is more to life than killing. She shows this by incapacitating terrorists, rather than killing them. Additionally, Chisato takes Takina to simply help people.¹ Inappropriate Clothing This anime contains immodest content. For one, there are short skirts, as well as a character's undergarments, which are shown when her "skirt is lifted".² While one could argue that it's not as bad as other shows, where in Scripture does it say that a certain amount of sin is fine, and a certain amount is not? The Bible is clear that  any  is wro...

Mashle: Magic and Muscles

Your right to live is determined by whether you have magical abilities, denoted by a marking on your face. Mash, a boy without any magical abilities, lives a quiet life with his father, away from people. However, the authorities learn of his lack of magical ability and give him a choice: be persecuted, or become a Divine Visionary. He must rely on his superhuman strength to accomplish this.¹ Alcohol This show contains alcohol.² The Scriptures are clear in their forbiddance of wine. "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright." (Proverbs 23:31) If we are not to even  look  upon wine, why would we find it acceptable to put an anime before ourselves that has alcohol in it? Where is the consistency? God would forbid the viewing of alcohol, yet, supposedly, anime is just fine? Magic and The Mark of the Beast Does it not seem weird to you that people are being killed merely for not having the  mark  ...

Eromanga Sensei

This anime is about a guy named Masamune and his step-sister, Sagiri.¹ When their parents die, Masamune becomes a light novelist in order to provide for those left of the family.¹ His illustrator is Eromanga-sensei who, unbeknownst to him, is actually his step-sister, Sagiri.⁽¹⁾ Sagiri draws "the most lewd erotica".¹ Immodesty and Nudity As you likely gathered from what I have already said that this anime is full of immodest things. And, yes, there is quite a bit. In addition to the short skirts and bikinis, many inappropriate things are shown. "Revealing clothing and sexually provocative poses are frequently depicted in illustrations. Girls are sometimes seen copying these poses." "Some scenes show girls bathing/changing, with partial outlines of their breasts/buttocks visible (no explicit detail)." "A girl draws a pornographic comic with the genitalia in the wrong spot, which leads to the girls questioning what male genitalia looks like. The famous ...

Kaguya-sama: Love is War

This anime is about a student council president, Miyuki, and his vice president, Kaguya. It is a battle between the two, each trying to get the other to confess their love first. Hence, "love is war."¹ Explicit Content This show contains some inappropriate and immodest things. Such things include: "Some skimpy swimsuits are briefly glimpsed during a beach sequence." "There is fan service in the OVA episode."² Speaking of the OVA specifically, it is literally porn just minus the coitus. It's utterly wicked. The Bible is very explicit in stating that a woman is supposed to be modestly dressed (1 Timothy 2:9). There is a part in an episode dedicated to talking about undergarments. Pictures of various undergarments can be seen, including an image of a man in only undergarments. In the same vein, there is a maid of Kaguya's who cross-dresses. There is also a "male student [who] wears a school uniform of a female student for his cheerleading event....

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online is an anime about a bunch of people trapped in a virtual reality world. If they die in the game, they die in real life. Kirito, the main character, is one of these people, and their goal is to get out of the game.¹ Immodesty Many of the women in the show wear skirts going either to mid-thigh, or higher. That is not modest. A woman is seen in bed with only her undergarments on. The main female, Asuna, is seen in only her undergarments. There are other things wrong with it: "A man rips a girl's top off, her bare breasts are visible." "Seasons 3 & 4 should probably be rated TV-MA for nudity and gore."¹ Additionally, one of the villains is naked. The OVA Sword Art Online: Extra Edition, has a lot of fan service, women are in bikinis and seen in their undergarments.² Do you think this is what God would have us to watch? Of course not! "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; no...
