Black Bullet is an anime about humans and a virus called Gastrea. This virus turns its victims into monsters. However, Gastrea has one weakness: a material known as Varanium. To combat the Gastrea virus, there are female children known as Initiators, also referred to as "Cursed Children." The Initiators' bodies have minute amounts of Gastrea, granting them superhuman powers. Initiators are assigned partners, called Promoters, whose role is to protect their Initiator. One such pair is that of Enju Aihara (Initiator) and Satomi Rentaro (Promoter), who fight Gastrea in Tokyo.¹ Improper Clothing and Pedophilia There are some immodest things in this show.
