Satan begins to take over the land of Ente Isla using his armies of demons. His advances are stopped by a heroine named Emilia, and Satan flees through a portal, landing in the human world. He is determined to return and conquer Enta Isla, once he figures out how to get back. Trapped in modern Tokyo, he must disguise himself as a human. However, he becomes passionate about climbing the corporate ladder. Thus begins Satan's life as a working human.¹ Demons and Satan The first, and most glaring issue, is that this show portrays Satan, regardless of how inaccurate. The very fact that someone thought it was even a good idea to name a demonic character after Satan reveals the wickedness behind the anime. Why would a Christian involve themselves with such evil? The Bible is clear that Christ and Belial (Satan) have no agreement with each other. " And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? Hajime Nagumo, the seventeen-year-old boy, is transported to a fantasy world alongside his classmates. Just like the tropes, they were summoned to save the world. However, things take a turn when Hajime is betrayed by a fellow classmate, "plummeting him to the bottom of an abyss." Surviving the fall, he must survive if he wants to make it out with his life. Hajime finds a vampire whom he names Yue. Their goal: to make it home.¹ Sexual Clothing This anime has a lot of immodest and inappropriate clothing in it. Women's cleavages² and thighs are seen. One of the main characters, and their whole "race" of people, wear basically nothing but undergarments.³ We are told that there is sexual violence and imagery in this anime.⁴ "Partial nudity includes showing most of a woman's breasts (hair covering her nipples) and her backside." ² Such clothing is not biblical. This anime is about a guy named Subaru who, when leaving a store, finds himself transported to another world.¹ He is attacked by some thugs¹ but a lady saves him². This woman, named Satella, had her insignia stolen, and she is searching for the thief.¹ Subaru decides to help her, that is until they are attacked and subsequently killed.² That's when Subaru's ability, "Return by Death" activates, reversing time to an "an unspecified, unpredictable, and uncontrollable 'save point' set some time before his death".³ Inappropriate Clothing Several women in this show have exposed cleavages and/or thighs.
