The Holy Anime Wars

After the death of their mother, Satsuki and Keiichirou Miyanoshita return to her hometown. Having transferred to the local school, they learn that it's supposedly haunted. Years ago, ghosts had haunted the schoolhouse but were driven away. Turns out they've returned! The ghosts are after them, so they must figure out how to survive the ghosts.¹ Inappropriate Content One common content warning for anime is immodest or sexualized imagery. Sadly, this anime isn't any different.² The female characters wear short skirts. A lady's undergarments are also seen.³ This does not glorify God or exert holiness. The question becomes: when is too much too much? When does the amount of sexual content become too much to watch? One scene? What about when one becomes two, and two becomes three? Creatures called Kegare live in a "parallel realm" called Magano. Benio Adashino and Rokuro Enmadou, two exorcists, are prophesied to be the Twin Star Exorcists—the parents of the Miko. The Miko will cleanse the world of all impurities, or Kegare¹ (the Japanese word 穢れ ( kegare ) refers to "uncleanness" or "defilement" ²). Profanity This anime contains terrible language.³ Holy Writ is clear in its command that there is power in the tongue, both to bless and to curse, to bless and to set on fire of hell. "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." (James 3:6) The tongue can defile our whole body. Jesus told us that the things that come from our mouths are those that defile us (Matthew 15:18). Bleach is about a high-school student, Ichigo Kurosaki, whose family is attacked by a spirit known as a Hollow. A  Soul Reaper named Rukia "protect[s] Ichigo's family from the assailant". Soul Reapers defend people against the Hollows. Ichigo is offered Rukia's powers and he becomes a Soul Reaper. He must defend his town from the Hollows.¹ Immodesty In this show, thighs and cleavages are seen. One character "regularly shows a lot of cleavage."² Additionally: "One of the [espadas']...outfit is fairly revealing" "later in the series there is mild nudity, no nipples are shown but the character in question is clearly naked." "There is an filler episode where an animal transforms into a woman with no clothes.
