This anime is about a lady, Nagatoro, and her "senpai" (a term referring to an "earlier colleague," i.e., one of a higher grade, or "year", in Japan), Naoto. I know a guy who, after watching this anime, became rather degenerate and ended up compromising heavily on doctrine and standards. This show is harmful to Christians.
Overtly Explicit
This show is on the border between "soft porn" and straight up pornography. Common Sense Media states that in this show there are "Constant sexual references and innuendos."¹ Additionally, the women wear short skirts and "revealing clothing."¹ The "outline" of a woman's genitals are shown.²
"In the beach episode, Nagatoro and her friends change into swimsuits...Cleavage is visible."²
"There are scenes of Nagatoro showing her underwear, fondling her breasts, unbuttoning her shirt, and a scene where she is completely nude while her private parts are only covered by her hands."¹
The IMDb page lists many of the actual "Constant sexual references", but I don't feel they need to be spoken of in-depth. I don't believe any saved person living in accordance with God Word will need any other reasons to not watch this show. The Bible says to think on things pure and of good report. This anime is the opposite of that.
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8)
Nagatoro (the main female in the anime) is a Proverbs 5-7 woman. Her lips "drop as an honeycomb" (Proverbs 5:3), she is a "evil woman" (Proverbs 6:24), and a "woman with the attire of an harlot...She is loud and stubborn" (Proverbs 7:10-11). There are many other things in those passages that could be used to describe her, but that should suffice.
Conclusion
This is a shorter article, yes. But that's because the anime is mostly just Nagatoro "toying" with Naoto with sexual things. That's the whole theme of the anime and it is wickedness.
